We at Robin Hood Harley-Davidson® are pleased to bring you the latest announcement from Harley-Davidson®, who have just revealed their first ever electric motorcycle code named “Project LiveWire”.

The Project LiveWire event kicks off next week across USA’s famous Route 66 to give a few select riders the chance to ride this interesting motorcycle and gain an insight into rider’s expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.

As you can imagine, this move raises questions about a change in the look and sound that Harley-Davidson® are most known for, as both of these will surely be very different in this reinvention for Harley®, in response Harley-Davidson® have stated that “America at its best has always been about reinvention”. 

This new ride blends the company’s styling heritage with the latest technology to deliver a new interpretation of the signature Harley-Davidson® look, sound and feel. They go on to mention that the bike will offer a visceral riding experience and compare the new unmistakable sound to a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier!

Either way you look at it, you can’t deny that this is an exciting new direction for Harley-Davidson® and it’s good to know that the future of Harley® lies in the response of the consumer in the upcoming, sure to be electricfying, “Project LiveWire” event.

We are talking about our Harley-Davidson® Sportster® 48 Custom motorcycle. This mean, agile, classic comes with an alarm, immobiliser, an L.E.D rear light and an optional side mount retractable number plate holder.

The wheels are made up of a combination of white wall tyres and black rims that have been specifically chosen to go with the custom paint job.

The bike is finished in a stark white, with a Shelby black stripe wrapped along the top of the petrol tank. To finish it off we have branded the bike with a custom-painted “48” across the Shelby black stripe and arched the words “Harley-Davidson” along each side of the tank.
